Membership Categories
The Club has two main classes of membership, open
to both sexes with equal rights. These are:
Sailing Member
A member who is active in sail or power yachting or
its related activities. This covers all the water sports; sailing,
windsurfing, powerboating, jetski, rowing etc. All are welcome.
As well as all the water activities, the club runs
all sorts of social functions throughout the year. Something to suit
all tastes.
For the keen sailors, there are regular race
evenings and regattas held at the Club. The Club also plays host to
major sailing events and National Championships. 2006
saw
the RTYC hosting East Coast Sailing Week, the premier sailing event
for the East Coast of Scotland and North East England.
The event was open to all classes of boat, from the smallest to the
largest, slowest to the fastest. With 40+ boats taking
part, it was a busy week.
Each year the RTYC also plays host to
Tay Week, which is organised by the Tay Yacht Clubs Association on
behalf of all the sailing clubs in the Tayside area.

If you are interested in sailing or any of the
other water activities, then come along to the Club. You do not need to own a boat. There are nearly
always boats requiring crew! If you are a beginner,
the Tay Sail Training Association runs "Learn to Sail" courses
during the sailing season. For details please click the
TSTA link - above left.
