Private Hire and Functions
The Royal Tay Yacht Club is an ideal venue for your function,
whether it be a wedding, family celebration, social gathering or business meeting. We have a selection of varied rooms which can cater for large or small groups.
Our Main Lounge and Dining Room are available for private hire and are both on street level which is suitable for disabled access. Both rooms are cosy with high ceilings and stunning views over the river.
Our Main Lounge can hold up to 110 guests and is suitable for birthdays, engagement parties, christenings and other family occasions. It is also ideal for dinner parties and various other celebrations as well as being a comfortable space for holding a funeral tea. We have a drop down screen which can be used for projecting Powerpoint presentations making it suitable for holding talks and business meetings. For meals and dinners, this room can accommodate up to 80 guests.
Our sunny Dining Room
can hold up to 25 guests for a lunch or dinner party. It is also suitable for business meetings for which we can also provide flip charts and a projector screen. This room is also used for serving buffets for functions held in our adjacent Main Lounge. This offers guests a quiet are to chat and catch up.
Our smaller bar is available to hire.
It can hold up to 40 guests and leads on to our outside terrace which is also available for private hire and is suitable for BBQs. This bar can be used for smaller functions such as small christening parties, funerals, baby showers, birthday/anniversary celebrations and other social gatherings. It is possible to arrange for a buffet to be served in this bar. See below for catering details.

As well as our main rooms, we also have two other rooms which are suitable for meetings.
Our Club Lecture Room is available to hire for training and meetings. It has a number of tables which can be laid out to suit each particular event. The room comes complete with white boards, flip charts and a television. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in this room as well as water on the tables. It is a fairly large room and can accommodate up to 14 people with ample desk space for working although the room can hold more than this. Disabled access can be reached to this room via our rear entrance.
Our smaller Committee Room
is available to hold meetings for groups of up to 10 people. Tea, Coffee, biscuits and water can be made available. This room is located on our upper floor which is reached via a staircase. It is not suitable for disabled access.
As mentioned above, our Main Lounge, Dining Room and Small Bar are also available for meetings and tea, coffee, biscuits and water can be arranged for all rooms. We can also provide flip charts and projector screens. Our in house caterers can provide a variety of meal options and are very flexible as to individual catering requirements.
Outwith the advertised catering hours, our Chef is available to cater for private bookings of 12 or more people and our Main Lounge and Dining Room are available to book for private lunches and dinners. You can discuss your options with our Chef for creating your own menu.
We have a range of bottled wines as well as a selection of house wines which can be served with your meal. House wines are served by the glass or in litre or half litre carafes in addition to a wide selection of drinks available from our well stocked bars.
We can also cater for business meetings, working lunches and team training days for which we offer a full service from breakfast rolls, buffet lunches, soup and sandwiches to full meals and refreshments.
Our funeral tea consists of tea, coffee, sausage rolls and savouries, sandwiches and cakes. Our Chef is happy to adapt the menu to suit your requirements.
