RTYC Open Day

The clubs' annual Open Day took place on Sunday 4th June and was a great success. The Open Day is intended to showcase our sailing and rowing facilities & equipment at Grassy Beach and to give non-members an opportunity to try sailing and rowing in a safe and controlled manner in the company of our experienced members, with safety boats on hand to assist. There was a great turnout of members who had volunteered to help in a wide variety of ways and the weather was almost perfect. A good number of adults and youngsters took the opportunity to try sailing and rowing and were able to enjoy the experience of being on the water, as well as the thrill of seeing a cruise ship pass by on its way out to sea. Glenogil House was also open for short 'tours' of the new clubhouse. We hope these positive experiences will encourage people to consider taking up our sports and to join RTYC.
