Power Boat training
The club has 4 Safety Boats and these are manned by sailors to provide safety cover for club events.
To give members the skills and experience to be able to volunteer to help with safety the club will run both Power Boat Level 2 (PB2) and Safety Boat courses. The PB2 is an internationally recognised qualification and allows holders to hire power boats in the UK and abroad. The SB course then gives the skills required for rescuing boats in a range of conditions. This can also be used as an annual refresher for those that wish to build confidence after not being in a rib for a few months.
