On Thurs 5th March we held our 2nd pre-season get-together, led by our Captain Klaudia Fedorowicz assisted by Gordon Shepherd. A lot has been happening in recent weeks to prepare the club squibs for the fast-approaching season, as well as various associated arrangements, including the appointment of 3 volunteers each of whom will be the bosun of a club squib with responsibility to look after the boats.

We took the opportunity for some further refresher/training & information and also to review the upcoming programme all the way up to Thurs June 18th and Sat June 20th which are the dates when some formal squib training will take place at Grassy Beach and on the water.

Before then there will more informal training, which will include a session onboard the boats while still in Harbour Shed before they get launched which is expected to be in 2nd half of April. Once the boats are on the moorings we hope to organise onboard induction sessions too as well as opportunities for sailing.

We are keen to involve as many members as possible to try squib sailing so please get in touch with Klaudia directly or through the office. We have a squib WhatsApp group which is our main means of sharing information and dates.
